My Approach

Many people turn to nutritional therapy after enduring a long, uphill battle with persistent symptoms and ongoing health challenges. My approach focuses on uncovering the root causes of health concerns rather than simply masking symptoms. Through a thorough analysis of your health history, dietary patterns, and lifestyle factors, I construct a personalised plan tailored to your specific goals. By collaborating closely with you, I empower and support you to implement sustainable changes for long-term health and vitality.

Health Questionnaire

Before your initial consultation you will complete a comprehensive health questionnaire along with a food and lifestyle diary. It includes questions about your specific symptoms, medical and family history, lifestyle, sleep, medications, stress levels, exercise habits and more. This allows me to gain valuable insights into your overall health status, identify any areas of concern, and tailor an effective, personalised plan specifically for you.

 

Initial Consultation

During your initial consultation we will delve into your health questionnaire, assess your diet and lifestyle and explore your health goals and concerns. Based on the information gathered I will explain potential factors contributing to your health issues and provide personalised nutrition and lifestyle recommendations to positively impact your wellbeing and guide you on your journey to a healthier you.

Nutrition and Lifestyle Plan

This plan is more than just a list of foods to eat—it's a personalised roadmap to better health that we create together. I take into account your favourite foods, dietary preferences, lifestyle factors such as your job and family life, and even the time you have available to cook. I include exercise and stress reduction techniques to promote overall wellbeing, providing you with recipes, handouts, and relevant resources creating a holistic approach to your health goals.

 

Together, we'll collaborate to design a plan that fits into YOUR life, and supports YOUR journey. 

Health Coaching

I integrate health coaching into my nutritional therapy practice to provide you with the guidance, support, and accountability needed to implement dietary and lifestyle changes effectively. While nutritional therapy focuses on identifying and addressing nutritional imbalances and health concerns, health coaching helps you set realistic goals, develop action plans, and overcome barriers to change. This integrated approach empowers you to make sustainable changes and achieve your health goals more effectively.

Check-ins

During your check-ins, we'll review your progress, discuss any changes in your symptoms or health status, and adjust your nutrition plan as needed. Meeting more frequently has been shown to be more effective in facilitating successful change, allowing you to take small, manageable steps without feeling overwhelmed. These check-ins allow me to closely track your progress and provide the necessary guidance, motivation and accountability, ensuring you stay focused and committed to achieving your heath goals.

Supplements

I often recommend supplements to address nutrient deficiencies and support the body's natural healing processes, enhancing the effectiveness of your diet and lifestyle interventions. Even with a balanced diet, some individuals may struggle to absorb or obtain sufficient nutrients from food due to digestive issues, stress, or specific health conditions. 

Functional Testing

I may suggest functional testing to gain a deeper understanding of your health beyond just your symptoms. These tests provide valuable information about nutrient deficiencies, hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, food sensitivities, and inflammation levels, allowing for a more targeted, personalised and effective approach to treatment. Functional tests can include blood, saliva, urine or stool testing, many of these can be done in the comfort of your own home. These tests are more detailed than those performed by the NHS, however I always collaborate with your GP if suitable tests are available on the NHS.

Packages

Packages are designed to offer you ongoing guidance, accountability and support, providing more effective and sustainable health outcomes for clients.  Individual initial consultations and check-in consultations may be offered in certain circumstances and are charged at £225 for a 90 minute initial consultation and £75 for a 30 minute check-in.
